Subjects: My primary specialty is tutoring Advanced Placement subjects, but I can adjust those same subjects to suit students at other levels of instruction or enrolled in other standardized programs, such as International Baccalaureate. For those who need a little catching up, I can focus on Language Arts fundamentals such as grammar, reading comprehension, and writing skills. I also provide feedback and editorial services for college essays.

Advanced Placement classes present a unique challenge: how to keep a high GPA while preparing for an intense year-end exam. Those goals can feel mutually exclusive. I work with students on comprehension and school work, but I also provide a better understanding of exam elements. Some portions, such as the Document Based Questions (DBQs) featured in every AP history exam, are so structured that they resemble standardized testing. Students who know the tips and tricks are best able to earn higher scores by demonstrating their mastery to College Board readers.

Rates and Services: After each session, I provide a detailed account of what we covered. I also include any observations about the student (mood, level of engagement, anxieties) and expectations for next time, such as extra practice. These reports are accompanied by an invoice. I accept payment through Venmo or Zelle.

• $50/hour for time spent face-to-face online
• $20/hour for time spent offline (reading assigned materials, critiquing essays, etc.)
• 60 or 90 minute sessions
• Online sessions through Google Meets or Zoom
• Flexible scheduling on a recurring or intermittent basis
